The CPV-11 Technical Tour will take place on Thursday, April 16 and will visit INES.
The National Solar Energy Institute (INES) is France’s center of reference in the field of solar energy. Based at Savoie Technolac on the shores of Lake Bourget, the institute was set up with the backing of Savoie Départemental Council and Rhône-Alpes Regional Council, and includes research and development teams from the CEA, CNRS, University of Savoie and CSTB. The Research and Innovation Division ensures close links between pure research and applied research carried out in association with industry on solar thermal, photovoltaic and building energy.
The institute’s laboratories, clean rooms, pilot facilities and demonstrators allow its scientists and technicians to work on optimizing all aspects of solar photovoltaic energy, from cells to systems and from positive-energy buildings to solar mobility. In addition to carrying out research into solar photovoltaic energy, teams are being set up to study solar thermal energy for cooling and heating, and to investigate ways of optimizing passive energy through energy management in buildings and energy efficiency technologies.
This visit will be a unique opportunity to have an overview of all the topics active at INES by the CEATech and a special focus on the CPV activities developed since 2011.
A pre-registration for the tour is required and can be made during the online registration. Please note, that capacity is limited.
